Tequesta Florida

Tequesta is waterfront community situated in the north end of Palm Beach County that was incorporated in 1957. With a population of just over 5,000 residents this is a small close knit community. Tequesta’s closest neighboring city is Jupiter and it sits between the Loxahatchee and Indian rivers. Due to Tequesta’s geographical location, it is a very affluent community that was built around the Tequesta Country Club. The city gets it’s name from the Tequesta Indian Tribe.

Jupiter Florida

The town of Jupiter is a close neighbor to Tequesta in the northern portion of the county. It is a seaside village that is known for it’s famous Inlet Lighthouse, which was constructed in 1860. The town get’s it’s names due to a misinterpretation/misunderstanding of the word Hobe (Indian Tribe). After a little english makeover, the spanish word for God, Jove, turn into it’s current name, Jupiter. The population of this beautiful waterfront community is just over 60,000. Jupiter is also known for it’s large resident population of PGA Tour professional golfer’s. The most famous of those names being Tiger Woods.

Palm Beach Gardens Florida

Palm Beach Gardens Florida is a northern community in PBC that was founded by insurance mogul, John D. MacArthur, in 1959. His vision was to build a “garden city”, hence where he came up with the town’s name. Development of the community did not take place until the early 1960’s and today the populations is just under 50,000. Palm Beach Gardens is known for it’s large number of gated communities inside the city. Before development of the area began the land was used for cattle to graze. Today, the Professional Golfer’s Association (PGA) National Headquarters are located in Palm Beach Gardens, along with twelve golf courses inside the city limits. North Palm Beach Florida
